Macadoodles Wine Cellar is a shopping experience like no other. Here you will find a huge assortment of wine, over 4,000 varieties – domestic, regional, European, Australian, South American, South African, New Zealand, the world, backed up by a friendly, knowledgeable staff eager to help you find exactly what you want and need. We pride ourselves knowing we have more varieties of wine at competitive prices not matched anywhere in the four state area.
Our wine selections include great values on popular wine, domestic, old world, new world, regional wines - plus rare and allocated wines that are mostly read about, only found at restaurants but rarely seen for sale in a retail store. We have these wines and new wines arriving constantly - at least ten new wines every ten days. Check out these selections in our “New in the Wine Cellar” fixture.
Because our staff tastes practically every wine we sell, we know what we’re recommending for you, your meal or your guests. As a result of our uniqueness we are offered and bring in gems available only to us. Our wine associates are proud of these wines and love to show you the latest and greatest. If you can’t find what you’re looking for we will special order any wine available to us by the bottle or by the case. Our staff is made up of knowledgeable wine enthusiasts who like nothing more than sharing their enthusiasm with others.
Where else can you shop for wine and taste wine at the same time? At Macadoodles there are always several wines open to taste at our tasting bar, open to close, seven days a week. In addition to our daily tastings, several times each month (sometimes several times per week) we invite winemakers, vineyard representative or distributors to show off their new wines with special tastings held in our cellar. (A reason to create your customer profile so that you receive notices of these special events)
Macadoodles will help you plan your own wine tasting event, a service not offered by anyone else. Our associates will help you with a theme, help pick out your wines, including varieties and quantities.
Our wine cellar is not just about wine – we also have a selection of gourmet food items, sausages and meats, cheeses, olive oils, sauces, crackers and spreads. We carry a large selection of accessories – corkscrews, bottle toppers, wine bottle racks, and decorative and functional items found nowhere else. We are an authorized dealer of Riedel stem wear and maintain an inventory of these beautiful, functional wine glasses. Our walk-in humidor has over 80 different fine cigars kept in a humidity-controlled showroom for your pleasure.
Keep in mind a couple of other features only we offer - wine classes every month for both the neophyte and those just wanting to further their wine experience. We also make gift baskets, custom built to your specifications, to satisfy your needs for those special occasions.

WINE OF THE MONTH
CLINE ZINFANDEL'S
With summer upon us, the best bar-b-que's on the Planet can be found right here in the 4 state area. I love big bold Zinfandel's for grilled meats, especially steak. This month we are featuring wine's from CLINE, a producer long known for their high caliber Zinfandel's. We have 3 single vineyard selections from CLINE, all 3 produce less than 500 six-pack cases per year, from vines that are all 100 years + old. These single Vineyards are "Bridgehead," "Big Break," and "Live Oak", all from Contra Costa County, and all from the 2006 vintage. We also have in stock the 2006, Sonoma County Zinfandel. Sonoma is not known for producing high quality Zin's due to its cooler climate however, this particular property has been owned for over 100 years by Cline, and why the vines thrive is that the vineyard is its own micro-climate. The vineyard sits over hot springs that elevates average surface temperatures by at least 15 degrees. These are terrific wines at great prices. Good to drink now but can be cellared up to 10 years.
Marilyn Monroe
never looked so good
The Red Velvet Series
A chance meeting in Hollywood between photographer Tom Kelley and an aspiring but unknown actress led to a two-hour photo session on May 27, 1949 that made history and established Marilyn Monroe as the ultimate sex symbol of the 20th century. The ten stunningly beautiful photographs from the historic session became known as the "Red Velvet" series, each one a portrait of Marilyn Monroe posing on a red velvet drape. Some of these images are now immortalized in The Marilyn Velvet Collection – we are now offering the 2007 Marilyn Velvet Collection, Pose 8.
Each label of Velvet Collection wine is covered with a protective vinyl overlay that, when removed, reveals the complete, original portrait. The Velvet Collection wines are as sumptuous, inviting, and rare as the images of Marilyn Monroe that grace their labels, and are sure to find favor with connoisseurs and collectors alike.

CAO
"The Sopranos Edition"
Made in Honduras this is a dark and chewy Brazilian wrapper leaf. The "Soprano's Edition" hails of a blissful blend of Nicaraguan, Dominican and Columbian tobaccos with a Honduran-grown binder. This beefy combination works miracles for those looking to fine a bold, but smooth smoke. Hints of coffee and warmed wood swarm the palate, and are enhanced by a sweet syrupy note on the finish.

We make gift baskets for all ocassions

We just got several new items in our Cheese department. Be sure to come by and check them out.
GREAT GADGETS
We've always had a wide variety of accessories in the Wine Department, both functional and decorative. On occasion, we find items that are just too good, that catch all our attention and make sense to own.

The first item is an electric cork remover made by Oster. Now, I've seen items like this in catalogs- and always figured their main purpose was to remove cash from the consumer, not corks from bottles. That was before we received a demo-unit and started selling them. The Oster Electric Wine Opener comes with the unit, the charging base and a foil cutter. They work slicker than petroleum jelly on a doorknob. The one we're using here at our tasting bar has already opened over 500 bottles and shows no sign of wear, nor has it misfuctioned in any way. The Oster Electric Wine Opener is less than $20 and a great piece of equipment for anyone who enjoys wine. Available here in the Wine Cellar.

The second item is one of the most remarkable devices I've ever experienced in the wine trade, the Vinturi Essential Wine Aerator. We've all been told "this wine needs to breathe, decant it and let it breath at least... before you pour." The Vinturi does all the decanting, breathing, waiting etc. instantaneously, and can accomplish this one glass at a time. This thing works! Imagine pulling the cork, pouring and enjoying a big, tight, tannic Barolo right out of the bottle. I was accused of slight-of-hand after a before and after tasting in one of our Wine 101 classes. I consider the Vinturi Aerator a must-have for anyone who enjoys red wines.
**CHECK OUT THE NEW LOWER PRICE ON THE VINTURI ESSENTIAL WINE AERATOR**

And we now have the Deluxe Aerator Set which comes with the Vinturi Tower!

Wine Away
A remarkable red wine stain remover formulated to remove most red wine stains from carpet and fabric. Wine Away is made from fruit and vegetable extracts and has a fresh citrus scent.
It contains no bleach.
CLOSE OUT SECTION
From time to time wines will go in our close out section at a greatly reduced price. The benefit to you the consumer is that you can get some fantastic wines at a lower price but, will still be available to you in most cases. Wines that hit the closeout rack typically are vintage, or label changes. Occasionally there will be those that we will no longer carry due to availability reasons. Please check out this section next time you visit.
We are here to serve you!
Tim Jolley , Wine Room Manager Joplin@Macadoodles.com
Tim started in the Liquor, Beer, and Wine Industry back in the Mid 1990's as a Fine Wine and Liquor Store manager in Branson, Missouri. He worked as a sales representative for a major Missouri wholesaler in the Branson and Springfield area, before transferring to Kansas with the same distributor. As a sales rep. in the Wine division for the Branson area he focused on expanding restaurants wine lists, assisting in wine festivals and different events such as Big Cedar Lodge's Celebration of Taste. During this time he completed the Wine Academy, an intensive training course that explores many aspects of wines, regions, countries, and varietals. In the business predominately since the mid 90's Tim relocated to the Joplin area this spring and found a new home at Macadoodles. He enjoys many different styles of wine, but feels that too many people are intimidated by wine. He believes that wine should be enjoyed by everyone, for any occasion, don't worry about rules, just pop open a bottle and drink what you enjoy. Everyone has to start somewhere on this adventure, and he is ready to help people take that first step, or continue their journey. Cheers!
Caleb Knott, Assistant Manager Joplin@Macadoodles.comWorking at Macadoodles has been a great opportunity for me to gain and share my wine knowledge with our customers. I really enjoy getting to experience new wines from around the world.
Debbie Blackmon, Wine Expert/ Instructor Joplin@Macadoodles.comCome by the wine tasting bar and you will see our wine princess sharing her love for wine. Her passion for wine shows in how she spends time with each customer to help educate them about the wines they are tasting, and she always does it with a smile and laughter. Get on her good side by greeting her Hook-em horns!
Marylynne Bower , Wine Sales Joplin@macadoodles.com Many of you will recognize me from the tasting bar in the Main Liquor room. I work in the wine room part of the week and bring with me a wealth of experience, and knowledge. I have been in the "business" for many years, and I look forward to helping all of our customers both up front and in the Wine Room.
Pat Lonardo, Wine SalesJoplin@Macadoodles.comAs a wine fan, I love sharing what I know and learning from others. Even with a background in Education, I enjoy things that have no "right" or "wrong" answers! I started with the sweeter wines, but now enjoy different varieties like Torrontes and Malbecs. I look forward to helping our customers any way I can.
